FAQ’s

  • Dogs are permitted on the showground but must be kept on a lead at all times. No dogs are permitted in the Members’ marquee (with the exception of assistance dogs).

  • Members receive two badges which gives entry to the Show for the Member and one guest and parking for one vehicle in the Members’ car park area as well as admission to the Members’ marquee where tea and coffee are available and lunch can be purchased. Members also benefit from reduced entry fees for all classes.

    There is an annual Farm Walk where members get the opportunity to visit a farming related venue.

  • To become a Member, print out the downloadable membership form and email the completed form to blakesleyshowmembership@gmail.com and make an online payment to the bank details on the form using MEM/Surname as a reference. Alternatively send the completed form with a cheque for £30 made payable to Blakesley Show Ltd. to Mr Robert Duncombe, Field View House, Field Way, Helmdon, Brackley, NN13 5QN.

  • Entry forms can be downloaded from the relevant section of the website. There are separate forms available for:

    - In-Hand Brood Mares, Foals and Youngstock (Blue form)

    - All other Horse and Pony classes (Green form)

    - Cattle, Sheep and Roots, Corn and Hay classes (Red form)

    Entry fees are listed in the schedule for all classes. Reduced entry fees are available for Blakesley Show Members.

    Completed forms should be emailed to blakesleyshow@live.co.uk and an online payment made to the bank details on the form using Your Surname/Class No. as a reference. Alternatively send the completed form with cheques made payable to Blakesley Show Ltd. to: Mrs Liz Black, 24 Lime Avenue, Eydon, Daventry, Northants. NN11 3PG before the closing date which is two weeks before the Show.

  • Where classes are not oversubscribed, entries are accepted for all Horse & Pony classes on the day, but there is a £5 surcharge for each class entered (with the exception of Pony Club Pony and Unaffiliated Showing classes where no additional fee is payable).

    In all other sections, ‘on the day’ entries are not permitted except for the Young Handler – Beef class, Roots & Corn classes and the Gymkhana.

  • A farrier is available on Show day. Please ask in the Secretary´s tent or speak to one of the pony Stewards if you need to locate the farrier.

  • As Blakesley Show is a one day Show there is currently no requirement by DEFRA for 60 day pre- or post-movement testing, but all cattle must have a BCMS passport, details of which will be recorded on arrival and departure.

  • Gates open at 8:00am with events continuing throughout the day until 5.00pm.

  • Entry costs £20 for adults, £5 for 8-16yrs and free for under 8yrs. If you wish to become a member, please see our ‘become a member’ section.

    Onsite parking is free.

  • 4m stands are provided at £25 each - Please contact our trade secretary.

  • No electricity is provided on site. Any generators used need to be of a quiet nature.

  • Yes, but any grass mown must be collected and put into a provided trailer near the main marquee. No mowing service is provided.

  • No overnight security is provided. Exhibitors are advised to have their own insurance in place.

  • Stand depth varies from 5m to 20m, please contact the Trade Secretary to discuss your requirements when submitting your application.

  • From Thursday afternoon before Show day unless prior arrangement has been made. All stands must be ready for trade from 8:30am show day, and public aisles cleared of vehicles.

  • From 5:30pm onwards. Anything left at the show overnight will be left at the site traders’ risk. All trade stands must be cleared by 5pm on Monday.

  • With your application unless prior arrangements have been made.
