What to see and do…
Blakesley show is a fun filled family day out showcasing the best of British Agriculture! Established in 1884 the show is organised by local volunteers from the farming and country community. A rural and traditional event, Blakesley Show holds over 50 equestrian classes, 70 showing classes for cattle and sheep, and a roots, corn & hay section; together with a Gymkhana which is always well supported by our young riders.
Main Ring Attractions
Main ring entertainment will this year be provided by Ed Hawkins with his award winning sheep dogs. Joining them will also be GUI GODTS - Equestrian Stunt Rider and back by popular request Waldburgh Shires with a brewery dray and pair of shire horses. There will also be a Vintage Tractor Parade, Gate Jumping Competition a Sheep Shearing competition and so much more!
New for 2024
We are super excited to welcome Ranger Stu to the show! Be sure to keep an eye out for him around the show ground. He will be bringing to us four interactive animal talks throughout the day with a selection of birds, reptiles, invertebrates, and mammals.
Livestock & Equestrian
Livestock displays including cattle and sheep from around the country. We are honoured to host the final of Heart Of England competition. We also host a large number of equestrian classes. We are super excited to offer London International Horse Show Direct Qualifiers for 2024.
Tractors & Machinery
A fantastic display of stationary engines and farm machinery. From vintage, through to classic and modern day. Tractors, Cars & Stationery engines all bringing a blast from the past.
Dog Scurry
Bring your dog and enter our on the day dog scurry.
Scurry classes include; long retrieve, two dummy pick-up, obstacle and snooker as well as a 4-in-1 discipline where all four times are added together!
You can find our dog scurry and archery/air rifles through the gate behind the Food & Craft marquee.
Prizes include; cash, shirts and rosettes.
Just turn up and enter on the day!
Archery & Air Rifle Shooting
Ever fancied yourself as a bit of hunter?
Test out your hand to eye coordination skills and try your hand on our ‘have a go’ archery and air rifle shooting.
British Food & Farming Area
After the success of 2023 our British Food and Farming Demonstrations are back! Showcasing the heart of British agriculture and the fantastic foods our farmers produce.
Trade stands, Shopping & Licensed Bars
Among the array and variety of trade stands there are a number of shopping outlets and catering stands for all. Why not treat yourself to ice cream or refreshments at one of our licensed bars.

The Show takes place in a beautiful rural setting in the South Northamptonshire countryside within easy reach of the M1 and A5 being just 3 miles from Towcester. Whilst the Show does not have a fixed postal address, you can find us by Sat Nav by entering the approximate address below.

The Show is located just off the crossroads (end of Longwell) of Maidford. Upon approaching the show,sign posts will direct you to the show ground.
